Zooplankton of the Cooling Pond of the Khmelnitskiy Nuclear Power Station under Conditions of Intensive Technogenous Load and Dreissena Introduction
RÉSUMÉ
Results of the study of zooplankton communities of the cooling pond of the Khmelnitskiy NPS carried out in 2005−2006 after putting into operation of the second energetic unit and after Dreissena polymorpha Pallas introduction are given in the paper. Changes in the composition, distribution, and abundance of zooplankton occurring in different seasons, and also its spatial distribution and quantitative indices of Dreissena veligers development, were studied. It has been known that Dreissena veligers are the source of biological hindrances.
