RÉSUMÉ

In the work presented by the author, who profoundly studied the Dnepr-Southern Bug estuarine area, the processes forming its contemporary state are under analysis. The unfavorable hydrological and hydrochemical conditions in the area considered (which formerly was abundant in natural resources) are mainly the consequences of limited discharges out of the Dnepr cascade reservoirs, promoting thereby adverse effects of seawater intrusions.
