Assessment of the State of a Small River under Conditions of Intensive Economic Activities and the Ways of Its Improvement

RÉSUMÉ

Results of the study of the hydrochemical and hydrobiological regime of the Strizhen river (the right bank tributary of the Desna river) carried out in 2000-2004 are presented. The state of various components of the river ecosystem was assessed. Recommendations aimed at prevention of crisis situations in the basin of the river were elaborated.
