RÉSUMÉ

A self-sustaining combustion wave process, occurring when a methane-air mixture is filtered through porous media is considered. Such processes are characterized by an intense thermal interaction between a gas phase and porous material. Theoretical treatment was conducted within a two-temperature model. Analytical expressions are presented for the combustion wave velocity as well as for temperature profiles in the wave. The results obtained are compared with the data from numerical calculations and recent experiments.
