Heat Transfer in a Plane Channel with Single-Row Impinging Jets

RÉSUMÉ

Results of experimental studies of local and mean heat transfer on a plane channel wall with injection of impinging jets through a spanwise row of holes on an opposite wall in the presence of cross-flow are presented. A new approach is developed that generalizes experimental data on the coefficients of local heat transfer in the zone of enhancement which makes it possible to introduce universal coordinates. Within the framework of this approach a variation of a relative excess of the coefficients of heat transfer over their relaxed values is described by a self-similar function.
