HEAT TRANSFER ANALYSIS OF NANOFLUID CONSIDERING THE INTERFACIAL NANOLAYER
RÉSUMÉ
Enhancement of heat transfer rate by using nanofluids is an emerging method for cooling appliances. The interfacial layer around the nanoparticle of a nanofluid is a dominating factor ion heat transfer enhancement particularly for small size (i.e., <50 nm) particles. In this paper, a mathematical model has been developed to determine the heat transfer coefficient of nanofluids, considering the interfacial layer formed on a nanoparticle. The proposed model provides a platform for comparing the heat transfer coefficients of different nanofluids. The results obtained by this model have been compared with experimental data available in the open literature and also with the established mathematical models. It has been found that the results obtained from the model proposed are closer to experimental data.
