EFFECT OF THE SHEAR STRESS JUMP CONDITION AT A POROUS/CLEAR INTERFACE REGION ON THE MHD FLOW OVER A PERMEABLE CYLINDER

RÉSUMÉ

In the present study, we discuss the steady state magnetohydrodynamic flow in a composite annulus partly filled with a porous region. The Darcy−Brinkman model is used to develop the governing equation for the flow in the porous region. Both regions have their own viscosities, and the fluid flow is due to constant pressure gradient. At the interface of the porous medium and the clear fluid, we take stress jump boundary conditions. A brief parametric analysis is performed for the velocity profile through graphs.
