RÉSUMÉ

A transient model of a loop heat pipe (LHP) has been developed within the framework of a two-phase satellite thermal control system with deployable radiator development. The main objective of the model was the ability to simulate and study the LHP oscillating behavior, which was observed during the experiments. The calculation results for the tested LHP sample operation using the proposed model showed good agreement with the experimental data. The model adequately describes the oscillatory phenomena and can be used as a research tool in studying the dynamics of LHP operation. The model was used to analyze thermal and hydrodynamic mechanisms that lead to unstable LHP behavior. The main factors that contribute to the appearance of oscillations have been identified. The influences of the LHP components' parameters on oscillatory processes have been studied.
