NUMERICAL CALCULATIONS OF THE EFFECT OF MINI-FLAPS MOUNTED ON THE TRAILING EDGE OF A SWEPT WING ON THE LONGITUDINAL AERODYNAMIC CHARACTERISTICS

RÉSUMÉ

Numerical calculations of the effect of installing mini-flaps on the trailing edge of a swept wing on the longitudinal aerodynamic characteristics at low subsonic speeds for a wide range of angles of attack are performed. The mini-flaps had a constant height along the wingspan, which was h ≈ 2,5% relative to the wing end section. According to the calculation results, it was found that the mini-flaps significantly affect the aerodynamic coefficients of the wing in non-deflected and deflected high-lift systems due to the redistribution of pressure on both the lower and upper surfaces of the wing.
