Age Characteristics of the Speed of Central Information Processing In Persons with Different Levels of Functional Mobility of Nervous Processes

RÉSUMÉ

In people between the ages of 7 to 20 years, we studied the dynamics of the formation of the speed of central information processing (CIP) and its relationship with functional mobility of nervous processes (FMNP). It has been revealed that in children, adolescents and youths, the rates of CIP and FMNP gradually increased and reached their maximum at the age of 19 to 20. In all age groups with different levels of FMNP, we have identified statistically significant differences in the speed of CIP. Persons with high level of FMNP were characterized by significantly higher values of the CIP speed as compared with those in persons with its low level. Correlation analysis confirmed those differences. Common patterns of age-related features of CIP and FMNP formation have been identified. It evidences in favor of genetically determined program of their development. There is evidence that the speed of CIP which characterizes individual characteristics of information processing can be used as an indicator of FMNP and increases the possibility of analyzing the experimental data.
