RÉSUMÉ

This paper presents a review of the literature and original data on production of polysaccharides by Cyanophyta species, their physiological and biochemical properties, role, chemical composition, factors affecting their development, as well as ways and potential production mechanisms of polymers into cultural medium, and perspectives of their use.
