AB The test problem proposed in this work considers the effect of a small sinusoidal perturbation on countercurrent flows of two fluids (ρ1/ρ2=1 or ρ1/ρ2=1000). As this perturbation should grow with time in a manner similar to Kelvin-Helmholtz instability, the purpose of this test is therefore to compare numerical results with the growth rate derived from the linear perturbation analysis.
