T1 Radiation Transfer in Moving Volumes of Nonequilibrium Molecular Gases JF Heat Transfer Research JO HTR YR 2003 FD 2003-04-01 VO 34 IS 1&2 OP 12 AB A technique of numerical simulation of infrared radiation transfer in moving volumes of vibrationally nonequilibrium gases is suggested. Special attention is given to the line contour transformation due to relative motions of gas streams. The prediction of radiation transfer in combustion products outflowing into a rarefied space are analyzed. It is shown that for the far zone of an optically thick jet the allowance for the Doppler shift of line centers due to high velocity gradients in the flow is of fundamental importance.
