The phase structure is obtained from signal phase-frequency spectrum on an output of the quadrature phase detector of SFCW GPR. It was shown that combination of synthetic antenna aperture and signal phase structure allows a landmine to be detected and their main physical properties (metallic or dielectric) to be recognized. A special antenna that allows to transmit signal on two cross polarizations and to receive the full signal polarization matrix have been developed for purpose of signal polarization selection capable of a nonsymmetrical object recognition. It were used two developed SFCW GPR sensors operating at the frequency bands of 140 - 270 MHz and 550 - 850 MHz for testing the developed signal processing algorithms in natural field and laboratory conditions.
