We ascertained that insertion of dielectric sample into the resonator field in parallel to its lateral surface results in variation of the resonator eigen frequencies and its Q-factor the more, the higher are the values of the real and the imaginary parts of the dielectric permittivity of the investigated material. The influence of dielectric composition and of its sighted distance upon the resonance frequency and the resonance Q-factor are investigated. The dependences of frequency variation and electronic tuning steepness of the self-oscillator based on the Gunn diode stabilized by axial-layered structure against the dielectric component composition and moisture are obtained.
