This sixth part of the review article summarizes results from electroencephalographic and evoked potential monitoring in connection with acupuncture. The article reflects the impact of new techniques on acupuncture research (e.g., 600 Hz oscillations). Although numerous questions concerning acupuncture remain still unsolved, the present findings could be a further step to discover the complex mechanisms underlying the effects of acupuncture.
