AB Peculiarities of protein synthesis in generative tissues of Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam. were investigated. For the first time the RNA and DNA content in reproductive products of males and females and their total content in gonads at different stages of reproductive cycle of natural spawning and under thermal stimulation has been determined. To the time of spawning the nucleic acid content in the generative tissues increases up to 3 times and does not depend on sex. It was noted that total amount of DNA in dry sperm was 9 times higher than in dry eggs.
