AB A solution of the problem of a two-layer plane Couette flow with temperature-dependent viscosity (TPCF) and no-slip boundary condition at the surface using a perturbation method is presented. The method of matched asymptotic expansions is applied in order to find the effects of the Nahme-Griffith number Na, Brinkman number Br, and activation-energy parameter on the velocity profile and temperature distribution. The literature on the topic of multi-layer plane Couette flows is restricted to the case where viscosity does not depend on temperature [Dafermos, C. M. and Hsiao, L. Quart. Appl. Math., 1983, Vol. 41, pp. 45-58 and Nonlinear Analysis, 1982, Vol. 6, pp. 435-454], and the aim of the present paper is to fill this gap in the literature.
