RÉSUMÉ

The Lascaux cave (Dordogne, France) is considered as one world's major prehistoric cave, inscribed on the Unesco World Heritage list. The preservation of the rock art of the cave is highly controlled. Its microclimate is among the parameters thoroughly studied. Numerical Simulation in Fluid mechanics is used here to study the microclimate of the cave and the convection currents in the different parts of the cave. A model to predict the microclimate of the cave at 6 months starting from the recording of the outside temperatures is applied to the first semester of 2015. The impact of the hot year of 2014 on the microclimate of the cave is estimated.
