RÉSUMÉ

A parametric investigation was performed involving different extinction coefficients and scattering albedo of participating media. The transient radiative transfer in one-dimensional homogeneous media with ultra-short Gaussian pulse laser irradiated was investigation by the finite volume method in the present research. Furthermore, the concepts of Optimal Detection Distance and Critical Optical Thickness were presented and investigated thoroughly. On this basis, the inverse transient radiation analyses were carried out for retrieving the extinction coefficient β and scattering albedo ω in a homogeneous absorbing and isotropic scattering but non-emitting plane-parallel slab applying three inverse methods, i.e. the Relation, SPSO and SPSO-Relation. The proposed SPSO-Relation was demonstrated to be superior to the other two methods which was fast and accurate.
