Résumé

This paper presents a numerical and experimental investigation for a vertical heated plate subjected to conjugate forced convection. This study is carried out to characterize transient heat transfer occurring in the plate. In the numerical model, fluid mechanics and heat transfer in air are combined with heat conduction in the solid via a quasi-transient algorithm. Validation of the conjugate capability is investigated from a simple experimental study at the University de Reims. A good degree of correspondence between the numerical results and experimental data is obtained. The model represents a contribution to the field of real-time transient heat load in solids.
