Double Diffusive Convection and Thermodiffusion of Nanofluid in a Square Cavity with different configurations
RÉSUMÉ
A square cavity filled with hydrocarbon nanofluid of fullerene-toluene with different concentration values of fullerene was subject to various heating conditions. The cavity has been designed such that two different configurations will be investigated in details. In the first configuration a square porous cavity is adopted. In the second configuration a porous cavity surrounded by two liquid layers was studied. The full Brinkman formulation and the full Navier Stokes equations coupled with the heat and mass transfer equations were solved numerically using the finite element technique. Results have confirmed that in the presence of nanofluid a heat transfer enhancement is present until certain amount of initial concentration of the nanofluids. The heat convection coefficient was found to be 16% higher when nanofluid is used as the wetting fluid.
