Large Eddy Simulation of free circular turbulent jet at Re=25000 has been performed with emphasis on investigation of spectral energy flux properties, including analysis of second-order and third-order structure functions. It has been shown the presence of a zone within the jet initial region where turbulence dynamics exhibits two-dimensional features that could not be caused by external anisotropy conditions. LES predictions have demonstrated that the third-order longitudinal velocity structure function takes positive values inside this zone and the corresponding power spectrum of turbulent pulsations follows the E(k) ∼ k−3 law that is specific for two-dimensional turbulence.
