NON-SPECULAR REFLECTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES FROM A TWO-DIMENSIONALLY PERIODIC GRATING OF SHORT-CIRCUITED COAXIAL SECTOR WAVEGUIDES
The effect of non-specular reflection of electromagnetic waves from a grating made of short-circuited coaxial sector waveguides is investigated. It is shown that the electric field energy of the incident wave can be transformed into the wave energy reflected in a non-specular direction. The Stokes parameters are analyzed in dependence on the length of the short-circuited coaxial sector waveguides. The possibility of converting incident linearly polarized waves into reflected circularly polarized waves is considered for the regimes of non-specular reflection of electromagnetic waves.

INFLUENCE OF AZIMUTHAL DIELECTRIC INHOMOGENEITY ON THE MODE ATTENUATION IN HOLLOW DIELECTRIC AND DIELECTRIC-LINED WAVEGUIDES
An effect of azimuthal dielectric inhomogeneity upon the launched mode attenuation of the hollow dielectric waveguide has been studied using the perturbation method. Estimation of the effect produced by such an inhomogeneity upon the mode attenuation in the hollow dielectric and dielectric-lined waveguides in the case of slow attenuation of a operating HE11 mode has been performed. It is shown that the mode attenuation in both waveguides is not critical to the insignificant inhomogeneities. The linearly polarized HE11 mode in both waveguides is more sensitive to the variation of the dielectric permittivity in the plane of vector E polarization.

The article is devoted to the investigation of the natural electromagnetic modes, regions of their existence and interaction with all possible types of resonances in the junction of cylindrical-radial waveguide with layered dielectric filling. The electrodynamic model has been created and the numerical analysis of the natural resonant frequencies spectrum has been carried out.

SUPERDIRECTIVITY IN THE STATISTICAL ANTENNA THEORY
Problems of the statistical synthesis of a linear continuous antenna in order to obtain maxima of its mean directivity and mean gain are considered. A technique of these problems solution is given. Its core is in the allowance for random errors in the antenna at the initial stage of synthesis problems solution, leading to significant suppression of the superdirectivity (SD). Plots illustrating a degree of SD suppression versus errors parameters, the ohm losses and antenna sizes are presented.

INTERMODULATION CHARACTERISTICS OF COMPLEX RANDOM ANTENNAS
The results of experimental investigations of a complex random antenna (RA) comprised of elements emitting a harmonic and a noise signal, are given. Spectral oscillograms of signals emitted by the RA in various operations modes are presented. It is demonstrated that a signal of a complex RA is generated by the basic and spurious emissions of its elements, intermodulation (IM) conversion products and electromagnetic background in the room, where the RA is located.
Investigation methods and quantitative criteria for evaluation of the second-order IM conversion products in a complex RA are proposed. The materials given in this article represent the reference data for studying RAs by means of a computer statistical simulation method.
RA investigation and simulation modeling are required for solution of problems related to ensuring of electromagnetic compatibility and safety of radioelectronic devices as well as for confidential information protection.

Theoretically on the base of the asymptotic method of the uniform geometrical theory diffraction and it is experimentally shown that the use of plane rectangular screens allows by a choice the ratio of screen sides essentially to improve the directional characteristics of the resonant wire antennas.

STATISTICAL MODELS OF THE CRITERION LEVELS OF SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICES ELECTROMAGNETIC KILL
A statistical model of the distribution of criterion energy levels of microwave pulse emissions, ensuring unrecoverable injury of input semiconductor devices in microwave receivers, is proposed. Methods for computing the probability of the functional kill of radioelectronic devices are developed; feasible functional kill distances for typical values of the microwave pulse transmitter energy potential, microwave path characteristics and the typical law of distribution of the criterion levels of semiconductor devices are evaluated.

APPLICATION OF FAST POLYNOMIAL TRANSFORMATIONS OVER GALOIS GF(2m) FIELDS IN REED−SOLOMON CODING AND DECODING
Accelerated algorithms for coding and computing the syndrome of Reed−Solomon code over Galois GF(2m) fields, using polynomial transformations for increasing the operational speed, are proposed. The computational complexity of such transformations by the total number of operations of addition and multiplication over the GF(2m) field is commensurable with the best known fast transformations.

DISCRETE SIGNALS WITH MULTI-LEVEL CORRELATION FUNCTION
The work considers group codes and investigates their structural properties from the viewpoint of decomposing them into non-overlapping cyclical orbits. A method of forming big ensembles of discrete signals with a multi-level correlation function is suggested. The formation of discrete signals is based on cuts of group code non-zero cyclical orbits. The work shows that the suggested method generalizes some discrete signals known before (suborthogonal sequences and Gold codes) and generally allows to synthesize binary sequences with a multi-level correlation function.
