Output Effect of a Quadrature Receiver with an Input Bandpass Filter during Reception of a Phase-Manipulated Broadband Signal Emitted by a Moving Source

ABSTRACT

Reception of a phase-manipulated broadband signal, emitted by a moving source, a quadrature receiver with an input bandpass filter, is considered. The dependence of the receiver output effect on the delay, the transformation ratio of the time scale of the signal envelope, and the input filter bandwidth is analyzed. It is shown that the maximum output effect is reached for the time delay of the received signal other than zero, with the value of delay, correspondent to the maximum output effect, being dependent on the input filter bandwidth and the transformation ratio of the time scale of the envelope time.
