ABSTRACT

Attenuation factor V and its range dependence V(R) are the important features of the propagation path. Due to a lot of factors influencing radio signals attenuation over oceanic surface as well as the lack of regular experimental data, in IRE NAS of Ukraine the complex radio physical investigations were carried out in different regions of Atlantic, Indian, Arctic and Pacific oceans. The obtained experimental results allow to create the attenuation factor range dependences database. The latter makes it possible to rationally solve the problems of data arrays control, operative access to and selection of according to the function of inquiry.
