Analysis of Electromagnetic Scattering by Dielectric Loaded Parallel Plate Waveguide Cavities with Irises

ABSTRACT

This paper shows the analysis of electromagnetic scattering by a dielectric loaded parallel plate waveguide cavity. The internal region is separated into two areas by additional plates, which arises internal coupling problems. The applied numerical technique is the point matching method considering the edge condition. As numerical examples, the results of the radar cross section are presented for the E-polarized case and the H-polarized case. We clarify the internal contribution for dielectric constants in terms of the cavity resonances.
