ABSTRACT

Research results of signal formation peculiarities in the autodyne short-range radar system with a frequency modulation are presented. Expressions for autodyne signal calculation are obtained in the general case of arbitrary delay time of reflected emission at the symmetric saw-tooth law of frequency modulation. The autodyne signal plots are drawn for the cases when its period duration is much more than delay time of the reflected emission as well as for cases when this inequality does not satisfy. Experimental results are obtained for an oscillator on the 8mm-range Gunn diode.
