Evaluation of the Maximum Range of Ultra Wideband Radio Communication in Conditions of a Restricted Radiation Level

ABSTRACT

Methodological issues related to evaluation of the possible ultra wideband (UWB) radio communication range without scattering and with interim scattering on a passive relay object depending on the rate of information transmission as a sequence UWB pulses in conditions of regulatory restrictions of the emission level are analyzed. Examples of calculation of maximum communication ranges when the pulse transmission-reception system uses three types of antenna pairs, i.e., hypothetical aperture antennas, horn antennas P6-23A, and dipole antennas, are given and analyzed.
