Oscillations of Semibounded Plasma and an Electron Beam Passing Through the Interface

ABSTRACT

The evolution of the initial state of a semibounded plasma interacting with a beam of charged particles passing through the interface is studied. The eigenfrequencies and dampings of the oscillations of this system are found. It is shown that under certain initial conditions the system can support increasing coupled surface and volume oscillations of the cold plasma and the electron beam.
