PERFECT GAS FLOW IN FLAT ASYMMETRIC CHANNELS

ABSTRACT

Asymmetric channels are widely used along with symmetric channels in practical applications. Therefore, it is of interest to investigate supersonic flows in laminar and turbulent regimes in asymmetric channels of simple configurations using computational aerodynamics methods in order to explain the features of the flow field structure and the behavior of the aerodynamic characteristics. In this paper, we discuss the results of investigations of perfect gas flow in asymmetric channels.
