Sylvia and David IA Fine Rocket Propulsion Center and the Aerothermodynamics Lab, Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, 3200003, Israel ABSTRACTAnalysis of an air-division valve regulation technique for solid fuel ramjet (SFRJ) motors revealed the feasibility for an optimal, constant fuel/air ratio operation over a broad flight envelope. The control of the fuel regression rate is accomplished via regulation of the port to bypass airflow rate ratio. The particular case of a constant port diameter and total air temperature operation was examined experimentally demonstrating a good agreement with the theoretical predictions.
