ABSTRACT

A technique allowing greater degree of substances purification and using the directed crystallization method of periodic intensive heating the segment of lateral surface of the vial with a melt near the crystallization front, is proposed. Numerical simulations has shown that this mode of heating leads to the formation of convective vortex, which, as a result of the Archimedean force, rises to the surface, grasping and carrying out impurities to the top of the molten zone, which are located near a zone of crystallization. This, in turn, leads to the decrease in the concentration of impurities in the greater part of the crystal resulting from growth, i.e. to a more pure substance in this part of the crystal.
