A Numerical Method to Study Mobile Cellular Networks Models with Finite Queue of h-Calls
ABSTRACT
An approximate method for calculating the characteristics of call processing in mobile cellular networks is proposed. The finite queue of handover calls, formed in the network, is processed by base station radio channels reservation scheme. The simple algorithms for calculating the loss probabilities of both new and handover calls as well as the average number of busy channels and calls of each type are developed. The problem on finding the interval of changing the number of guard channels to satisfy the given constraints for call loss probabilities and average waiting time of handover calls in queue is solved. The results of computational experiments that show high accuracy of the method proposed are demonstrated.
