ABSTRACT

The essence of algebraic attacks on stream ciphers consists in lowering, in a definite way, a degree of system of equations that relate the bits of unknown key to the known output cipher bits. Probabilistic scenarios of an attack presuppose even greater reduction of degree with the equation obtained not being true for all arguments. This work has investigated such scenarios and introduced the corresponding notions in terms of which one can describe a resistance of complicating Boolean function of a stream cipher against such kind of attacks.
