ABSTRACT
The formal conditions, which allow to guarantee the features utility while statistical recognition of two classes, are formulated. At the same time, only limited data on individual and general probability characteristics of the features are used. The constructability of the obtained conditions is demonstrated on the example of solving the problem of recognizing the thermal and pseudothermal effects of the metal crystallization.
KEY WORDS: statistical recognition, features utility, guaranteed estimate, limited a priori information, solving practical problems of recognition.
