Obtaining the Guaranteed Set Polyhedral Estimates of Controlled Object Parameters in the Presence of Outliers in Bounded Disturbances

ABSTRACT

The method of set estimating parameters of controlled objects insensitive to outliers, i.e., jumps of disturbance values beyond a priori constraints is proposed. The use in the procedure of set identification of data distorted by outliers can result in malfunction implying that the estimating set becomes empty. Robustness of the suggested estimation method is based on detection and elimination of data distorted by outliers whose processing leads to the above malfunctioning. The algorithm for determining data distorted by outliers is realized as a function in software environment MATLAB.
