ABSTRACT
Not only growth processes of algae, but also the intensity and pattern of their interaction, change under conditions of different illumination. The most distinct and stable unfavorable allelopathic effect was registered in the mixed culture consisting of two algae species at the intensity of illumination of 5 kLx (within the studied range from 0.5 to 25 kLx). The increase or decrease in the intensity of illumination was accompanied by the increase or decrease in the intensity of the unfavorable allelopathic effect.
