Influence of Radioactive Nuclides of Bottom Sediments of the Kiev Reservoir on Physico-chemical Properties of Cytosol Proteins of Blastodermal Cells of Carp

ABSTRACT

Chronic low radioactivity (silt as its source) has the effect of changes in fractional composition and physico-chemical properties of cytosol proteins of blastodermal cells in carp' embryos. Metalthyoneines are synthesized in the blastoderm as a response to contamination of water environment with radionuclides and metal compounds. Due to SH-ligands, they form complexes with radionuclides and cations of metals, and in that way protect the embryo's organism against the irradiation damage.
