Radionuclides in Some Components of Ecosystems of the Upper Reaches of the Zaporozhye Reservoir and in its Floodplain Water Bodies

The values of specific activity of natural radionuclides, including 40K, 232Th, and 226Ra, and also of the artificial 137Cs, were determined in some components of aquatic ecosystems of the upper reaches of the Zaporozhye reservoir and in its floodplain water bodies. Relationship was established between the specific activity of these radionuclides and the character of bottom sediments and hydrological conditions. The radioecological situation in the studied water bodies was non-uniform and unstable.
