ABSTRACT

Seasonal dynamics of bacterioplankton numbers were studied in Lake Opechen-upper located within the territory of Kiev. Proteolytic activity in the water and its seasonal changes were studied using immune enzymatic analysis. It has been found that physical and chemical conditions in the water body and anthropogenic load influenced microbiological indices and enzymatic activity. In summer and autumn, relationship was established between the numbers of bacterioplankton and proteolytic activity in the water, which is indicative of the significant role of bacterioplankton in organic (protein) substances transformation in the water body.
