ABSTRACT
Phytoplankton and zooplankton of the lower reaches of the Belaya River were studied in the Blagoveshchensk region of the Republic of Bashkortostan (Russian Federation). The increase in the intensity of anthropogenic eutrophication was accompanied by the increase in the quantitative indices of phytoplankton and zooplankton development, and also by changes in the complex of dominant species. The use of syntaxonomic analysis made it possible to determine diagnostic taxa and communities indicative of the increase in the degree of eutrophication.
