ABSTRACT
The features of the physiological adaptation of the native and invasive fish species to environmental conditions in small rivers of the urbanized territories were studied. It was shown that the compensatory-adaptive reaction to the toxic pollution of the environment of the Common gudgeon (Gobio gobio (L.)) was provided by increase of the metabolism intensity with predominance of anabolic processes, whereas Prussian carp (Carassius gibelio (B l o c h)) responded to pollution by the glycolysis intensification in liver without altering the other energy-intensive substances content in its tissues.
