ABSTRACT
Three series of individual direct and reciprocal matings were performed; in addition, there were obtained fill-sibs in the fist generation. Analysis of the splitting in the first generation had shown that the character of radial striation of the shell of mussel is determined by single two-allele gene with domination of the allele of stripes present. The distribution frequency of striped phenotypes of mussel settlement did not depend on the depth of the habitat in Laspi Bay (the Crimea).
