ABSTRACT

According to biophysical monitoring and satellite observations in the Sevastopol coastal zone since January 2009 till September 2012 seasonal and interannual dynamics of phytoplankton development and the bioluminescence field produced by it, temperature and salinity fields variability in the surface and upper 60-m layers were analyzed. It was shown that anomalies (deviation from the average level) of the sea surface temperature led to modifications in the phytoplankton taxonomical structure and seasonal variability of the vertical structure of the bioluminescence field.
