Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of California, Riverside, CA 92521-0425 USA ABSTRACTThis special issue of Multiphase Flows in Porous Media in Special Topics & Reviews in Porous Media – An International Journal (STRPM) contains mainly invited papers, whose authors presented their work in one or more of these three conferences: The Chinese Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics on Aug. 15-18 in Shanghai, National Conference of Heat Mass Transfer of China on Nov. 1-2 in Dalian, and National Conference of Multiphase Flow of China on Nov. 11-13 in Nanjing, 2015. From over 2000 papers including around 20 keynote lectures, approximately twenty of the highest quality papers were selected. These papers went through a complete review process. After a peer review process, 6 papers were accepted for publication in this issue. KEY WORDS: Multiphase Flows in Porous Media
