Maximum Heat Fluxes in Pool Boiling of Subcooled Water

ABSTRACT

Special features of autowave mechanism associated with the boiling crisis are examined. Optimization of heat-load control is shown to increase the stability of nucleate boiling. Depending on the control technique, two different mechanisms of nucleate boiling are revealed.
