Temperature was measured in both the vapor region and the condensate layer with subsequent comparison of the obtained temperature profiles. Significant overfalls of temperature, of an order 100-180°C, were found in a narrow vapor-condensate boundary layer. As a result, a two-threshold decrease in the coefficient of heat transfer determined earlier for pure vapors of sodium and potassium takes place. However, no considerable enrichment of condensate by the most volatile component such as potassium was noted. |
