Fluctuational Origination of Bubbles in Steady Regimes of Vapor Generation

ABSTRACT

The conditions for fluctuational origination of bubbles in liquid streams are considered. Use is made of the earlier obtained results on explosive boiling-up in impulse overheating. For the process of the discharge of a heated liquid through an opening the frequency of nucleation is calculated. The regimes of vapor generation in intense radiative heating on bubbles of fluctuational nature are separated. A formula is suggested for calculation of the rate of liquid-vapor phase change with dispersion of the surface layer.
