ABSTRACT

The paper investigates power consumption of direct chaotic transceivers designed for wireless ultra-wideband sensor networks. Possible ways of energy saving to provide long autonomous operation period of the transmitters are proposed. To this end, several approaches are used: design solutions using low consumption electronic components, communication protocol organization reducing the load on devices, and introduction of hibernating modes.
